School Environmental Health

Environmental Health and Sustainability Education Programme

A six-month programme designed for selected public secondary schools in Kwara State. It focuses on environmental responsibility, waste management, sanitation and climate action, with support from relevant state institutions.

The programme design includes:

School-based environmental education
Student-led environmental action
Waste and sanitation awareness
Government-supported coordination
Monitoring and follow-up

Youth leaders trained in environmental stewardship and community advocacy

Youth Leadership and Action

Youth Leadership Development

The Foundation reports that 153 youth leaders have received training in environmental stewardship, climate action and community advocacy. The Foundation has established an Environmental Action Network in partnership with the Kwara State Government. The network is intended to connect young people, schools, government institutions and community stakeholders around environmental education, advocacy and community action.

Community Sanitisation and Mobilisation

Sanitisation

The Foundation mobilises volunteers, community members and young people around cleaner neighbourhoods, responsible waste practices and public environmental health. Its community work combines direct engagement, visual messaging and collaboration with public institutions.
